The University of Barcelona paid tribute to a key figure in psychology and in institutional life with an event that highlighted her mentorship, rigour and a way of understanding the university grounded in intellectual generosity.

The authors, Àlex Aguilar, professor at the UB’s Faculty of Biology, and Max Aguilar, photographer, take readers on an intriguing journey through one of the most deeply rooted — and at the same time controversial — economic activities in maritime history.

Professor of Sociology, she is an expert in gender and technology, as well as in gender and family public policies. 

An event on Tuesday, 20 January, will honour her extensive career in the fields of research, teaching and university management.
