The UB Report on the academic year 2022-2023 is already available

In the 2022-2023 Report, an important work of synthesis of the contents has been carried out, which has made it possible to reduce the length of the document. As usual, the publication is complemented with statistical information that can be consulted on the new website. The Report responds to the institution's duty and desire for transparency and accountability to the university community and society. Rector Joan Guàrdia says that the Report “reflects the results that the institution has achieved, as well as the rigour, demand and responsibility with which the entire UB community carries out the tasks entrusted to it”.

The Report 2022-2023 begins with the chapter “The University of Barcelona”, which states the main figures that build up the institution and the features that define its identity. The publication is then divided into four thematic blocks: “A university engaged with society”, which describes the initiatives linked to transparency, ethics, sustainability, good governance, entrepreneurship, transfer to society, and institutional, cultural and supporting activities; “A university at the forefront of education”, which gathers the academic offering, academic opportunities, innovation, evaluation and academic improvements; “A university at the vanguard of research”, which analyses the research output, internationalization and the attraction of talent and resources, the transfer of technology, knowledge and innovation, and the doctoral tasks and scientific culture dissemination. The last chapter is “An international university”, which explains the internationalization strategy of the institution and the mobility of different university collectives.  

The publication was carried out by the Rector's Technical Bureau and published by UB Editions. A print run of 180 copies of the Catalan version has been produced, and will be distributed throughout the University and sent to various organizations and institutions linked to higher education in Catalonia. The Spanish and English editions will be published in digital format only, and are expected to be available soon. The document in electronic format will be sent to various national and international institutions and organizations.

Along with this new edition of the Report, the corresponding statistical data and previous editions of the publication can be found on the reports and reports web page, among other documents. There are also links to the biennial reports of the faculties, which contain evolutionary data on teaching, research and structure, and links to the different job placement reports drawn up based on the studies carried out by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU). The Strategic Planning website also includes documents on the UB Governance Plan 2022-2024 and its monitoring, as well as the funding models for the faculties, departments and faculties' administrations that are approved with the UB budget. These two new pages can be accessed from the website of the Rector's Technical Bureau, which also includes, among others, the recently launched Teaching Activity Assessment page.
