Thesis defence

Once the examination panel has been appointed, the thesis defence must be carried out within three months. The date and time are set by the Chair, in consultation with the other panel members. The session must be announced at least seven days before the scheduled date.

Thesis defence:
You are about to obtain your doctoral degree! The thesis defence is the most important moment in your academic career. After many years of hard work, it is time to submit your thesis for evaluation. You have completed an extensive project and acquired comprehensive training as a researcher. It is now time for this effort to be acknowledged as you obtain confirmation of your doctoral degree. The thesis defence is a public session carried out at the University or online. If you want the defence to be held outside the UB, you must submit a written request to the Academic Committee outlining the specific reasons for the change.
