On Monday 29 January, the agreement between the Government of Catalonia, the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the University of Barcelona, the city councils of Barcelona, Hospitalet de Llobregat and Esplugues de Llobregat, and the Diputació de Barcelona, for the construction of the new Diagonal Clínic-University of Barcelona health campus, will be signed at a ceremony to be held at the Palau de la Generalitat.

On Monday 29 January, the agreement between the Government of Catalonia, the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the University of Barcelona, the city councils of Barcelona, Hospitalet de Llobregat and Esplugues de Llobregat, and the Diputació de Barcelona, for the construction of the new Diagonal Clínic-University of Barcelona health campus, will be signed at a ceremony to be held at the Palau de la Generalitat.
The agreement establishes a joint framework of collaboration between all the institutions involved to promote urban development for the construction of the new campus on the Diagonal.
This is a highly strategic project on teaching, care and research for the future of Catalonia. In February 2023, all the participating institutions reached an agreement to establish the suitability and viability of this site in order to locate the healthcare, teaching, research and innovation activities of the future Hospital Clínic de Barcelona on the UB Sports grounds.
