EIT Health Spain, presided by Francesc Iglesias, aims to be an alliance of leading innovators in health willing to make Europeans live longer and healthier lives. This can happen through the so-called knowledge triangle: innovation, education and entrepreneurship. Last year, EIT Health Spain led 37 European projects and supported 55 start-ups, which obtained up to 67 million euros in funding.
The international consortium EIT Health counts on the support from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an EU body. EIT Health is currently built by 150 partner entities from several European countries, aiming to respond to the main challenges in the field of health.
