The businesses resulting from a technology or knowledge conducted at the University of Barcelona turned over 7.1 million euros during 2020, which is 1.7 million more than in 2019. During 2020, companies with participation from the University of Barcelona obtained a total of 9.3 million euros of public and private funding. In addition, despite the pandemic situation, four new investee companies with the licence of a UB-developed technology were built in 2020.
