Monday 16 October marks the start of the application period for students to study at one of the more than one thousand universities around the world with which the University of Barcelona has an international mobility agreement. This year, given the importance of international mobility in terms of deepening knowledge, strengthening language skills and broadening the students' future professional opportunities, the University has intensified its information and support work for students who wish to study part of their studies abroad.

The UB has also simplified the calendar: the opening and closing periods for the different international mobility programmes are now the same (from 16 October to 15 November). These programmes are Erasmus (studies or internships within Europe and Erasmus International Credit Mobility outside Europe); Global Faculty UB, which brings together the specific mobility agreements signed by the different faculties; and Global UB Mobility, which includes the UB's general agreements with other universities. There is also the possibility of individual applications (one-off exchanges without prior agreement).

Also, a dissemination campaign has been launched to show all the possibilities offered by these mobility programmes, as well as the financial aid that can be applied for.

International Mobility Fair, 19 October

Students will be able to get information about all these options for studying abroad at the International Mobility Fair, which will take place on 19 October in the grass area between the faculties of Biology and Earth Sciences. There will be four stands, where the staff from the Office for International Relations (ORI) of the different faculties will offer personalized advice. Information will also be provided on the several mobility support services offered by the UB: the Office for Mobility and International Programmes (OMPI), the Language Services, and the School of Modern Languages (EIM).

In addition to visiting the Fair, those students who are interested in studying abroad can find more information on the UB’s mobility portal and they can submit questions to their faculty’s ORI.
