The University of Barcelona hosts the annual meeting of the Triptolemos Foundation

Today, the University of Barcelona hosted the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Triptolemos Foundation, which included the attendance of more than thirty senior representatives of the most important Spanish universities in the food system, companies, consumers, food banks and institutions such as the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The vice-rector for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Transfer of the UB, Mercè Segarra, chaired the meeting, in which attended, among others, José Luis Bonet, president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce; Joaquim Salvi, rector of the University of Girona or Rafael Juan, CEO of Vicky Foods.

Today, the University of Barcelona hosted the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Triptolemos Foundation, which included the attendance of more than thirty senior representatives of the most important Spanish universities in the food system, companies, consumers, food banks and institutions such as the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The vice-rector for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Transfer of the UB, Mercè Segarra, chaired the meeting, in which attended, among others, José Luis Bonet, president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce; Joaquim Salvi, rector of the University of Girona or Rafael Juan, CEO of Vicky Foods.

At the meeting, participation in the Alimentaria 2024 show and the IFAMA international congress was announced. Various projects on training, science and the importance of public-private collaboration were also discussed. 

Since its creation in 2002, the Triptolemos Foundation has developed a global vision of the food system and focuses its efforts on dynamization and trust-building, with the conviction that a sustainable society will not be possible without a balanced food system. The University of Barcelona is a founding member of Triptolemos.
