The Barcelona Deep Tech Node has given a Proof of Concept grant to a research project of the University of Barcelona which presents an innovative solution to decontaminate and disinfect waste waters: a tubular electrochemical reactor. The project’s principal researcher is Ignacio Sirés Sadornil, lecturer at the UB’s Faculty of Chemistry.

The Barcelona Deep Tech Node has given a Proof of Concept grant to a research project of the University of Barcelona which presents an innovative solution to decontaminate and disinfect waste waters: a tubular electrochemical reactor. The project’s principal researcher is Ignacio Sirés Sadornil, lecturer at the UB’s Faculty of Chemistry.

The aim of these grants, of 225,000 euros in total, is to facilitate access to funding for the selected projects, as well as to accelerate their technological development and maturity, and boost their market launch. Moreover, they allow other crucial aspects of science and technology-based projects, such as the development of market studies, formalization of patents and presentations in investment forums, among others.
