The University of Barcelona organizes a ceremony for peace between Israel and Palestine 

Xavier Pons, professor of Public International Law at the UB, will give the opening lecture. In the lecture "The war in Gaza and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict", Pons will analyze how the current situation has come about and how to legally qualify what is happening, as well as the reaction of the international community and possible solutions to the war. The event will include a dialogue between Elisenda Calvet, lecturer of Public International Law at the UB and expert on human rights and genocide, and Pedro Javier Armengou, freelance correspondent in the region and collaborator at Diari Ara and El Confidencial. 

The ceremony will include the screening of a video featuring Kherieh Rassas, vice-president of the An-Najah National University, the largest higher education institution in the West Bank, and current president of the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED).
