The University of Barcelona is once again present, from 13 to 17 March, at the Saló de l'Ensenyament (Education Fair), where it presents its range of degree courses for the academic year 2024-2025, the broadest in Catalonia. One of the new features of the institution for the next academic year will be the introduction of a catalogue of optional subjects related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making the UB the first university in Barcelona to include SDG-related content in its teaching plans. In this edition, the UB has designed a new stand that simulates a city through a modular system. It is a flexible and open design that combines the presence of new technologies with quality face-to-face information provided by the information staff. Visitors interact with the stand by walking through the UB City, where they find all the information on UB courses and are able to find out about the experiences and experiences that await them at the University of Barcelona.

Visitors interact with the stand by walking through the UB City, where they find all the information on UB courses and are able to find out about the experiences and experiences that await them at the University of Barcelona.

The UB's academic offer for the academic year 2024-2025 consists of seventy-four bachelor's degrees and fifteen dual-study degrees. The main novelty presented by the UB is the degree in Cybersecurity, taught by the affiliated centre ENTI-UB. It will be the first of its kind to be offered in Catalonia. It will be structured in four courses (240 credits) and will respond to the growing demand for experts and professionals in the field of cybersecurity. The digitalisation of society has turned these profiles into some of those with the greatest employment opportunities. The second new degree programme presented by the UB is the Gastronomic Management, which will be taught by the Barcelona Culinary Hub, an affiliated centre of the UB. It is also structured in four courses and will train professionals capable of leading new options linked to gastronomy in a globalised context and interested in concepts such as sustainability, culinary traditions or the food identity of the regions.

The TriaUB app is one of the main tools for informing prospective students. From the app you can access the degree search engine, with information about the courses, videos with advice on how to successfully pass the university entrance exams, a section with frequently asked questions, etc. Through this app, available in the Apple Store and Play Store, notifications will be sent to prospective students to accompany them on their path to university (they will receive information on the access and admission process, key dates, advice, etc.).

The UB's academic offer for the academic year 2024-2025 will consist of 74 bachelor's degrees and 15 dual-study degrees.

The UB stand

The UB stand at the fair is 180 square metres in size. It is divided into six knowledge islands, a general information island and a space for group talks. Thirteen interactive touch screens are distributed throughout the stand to offer personalised advice. The information team is made up of specific information officers from the centres, general information officers to quickly guide students to the studies they are interested in, and technicians from the Student Services Department. The ultimate goal is to inform and provide a satisfactory life experience for students at the Education Fair.

The UB stand also has information officers from the affiliated centres of the Catalan Film and Audiovisual School (ESCAC), the School of Public Relations (ESRP) and the Public Safety Institute of Catalonia. It is located in Pavilion 1 of the Montjuïc exhibition centre, Carrer B 221.
