Laura Rosel (Sabadell, 1980) is the new Director of Communication at the University of Barcelona, since 18 March. The journalist takes charge of the UB's communication strategy to reinforce its leadership and visibility, as well as to guarantee its links with its surroundings and with the university community itself.

Rosel is excited about this new stage: “It is an exciting challenge because the University of Barcelona is not only the largest in Catalonia, but also the leader in terms of academic offerings and research in Spain, and taking on its communication implies an extraordinary responsibility and privilege”.

With a degree in Journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Rosel has an extensive experience in the Catalan leading media. She began her professional career at Radio Sabadell. In 2006, she joined RAC1 to take charge of editing the daily news programme 14/15, the summer editions of the magazine Via lliure and various special news programmes.

She began his television career at 8TV, in the programme 8 al dia, just before making the leap to Televisió de Catalunya, in 2018, to take on the co-direction and presentation of the political current affairs programme FAQS, in which she achieved record audience ratings.

In 2019 she returned to radio: first, at Catalunya nit (Catalunya Ràdio), and then she led the radio station's insignia, El matí de Catalunya Ràdio, which she directed for three seasons (2020-2023). She has also collaborated with Diari Ara, where she has produced several interviews and reports; with the programme Tot es mou (3Cat) and also with El món a RAC1 and No Ho Sé, (RAC1).
