The University of Barcelona will be present at the Dakar 2024. It will do so thanks to a collaboration agreement with the Tibau Team, a truck team led by Rafa Tibau, a legend of this mythical race that will start in Al-‘Ula on 5 and 6 January and finish on 19 January in Yanbu. The entire route — 7,891 km on roads, trails and dunes — will take place in Saudi Arabia.

The University of Barcelona will be present at the Dakar 2024. It will do so thanks to a collaboration agreement with the Tibau Team, a truck team led by Rafa Tibau, a legend of this mythical race that will start in Al-‘Ula on 5 and 6 January and finish on 19 January in Yanbu. The entire route — 7,891 km on roads, trails and dunes — will take place in Saudi Arabia.
The Tibau Team is a family-run company that offers first-class rally assistance and has more than thirty years of experience. 2024 will be the 33rde that Tibau will take part in the Dakar. Helena Tarruel, the first Spanish woman to take part in a Dakar Classics, and Pol Tibau, co-driver, complete the Tibau Team.
This year, the team will support Prodrive (with Nasser Al Attiyah and Sébastien Loeb), the X Rally Team and three 100% Chinese Hunter vehicles.
Rafa Tibau's team vehicles and clothing will bear the University of Barcelona logo.
