During the days 9, 10 and 11 October, the University of Barcelona will host a series of activities framed within the Plan for suicide prevention in Catalonia 2021-2025 #TrioLaVida. This plan was presented by the Catalan Government on September 2021.
The aim of the #TrioLaVida sessions is to talk about suicide, to break the taboo that surrounds it, reduce its social stigma and to advance in social awareness in order to help and prevent deaths. According to the data from the Records on mortality in Catalonia, in 2021 suicide was the leading cause of death among people aged 15-34 worldwide.

The activities of the #TrioLaVida sessions offer workshops, talks with experts, and they include the participation of mental health associations, entities of family members and survivors, and professionals working at the 061 Salut Respon. To share this suicide prevention telephone, the Health Department launched on 9 September 2022 an interactive experience. It was a cube-shaped installation, which invites people to find stories related to the suicidal ideation through the testimonials of survivors, family members, support entities and health professionals experts on mental health, and in particular, stories related to the care given to suicidal behaviours. This installation will be present at the #TrioLaVida sessions and will be exhibited in the Mundet Campus.

The Plan on mental health and addictions of the Health Department will be carried out over a week in each one of the Catalan universities. The sessions Will start on 26 September 2023 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and will end during the first semester of 2024.
