This year, four collaboration agreements have been signed with healthcare institutions, which allow to expand and consolidate the network of entities with which the University of Barcelona works to offer excellent teaching and research in the healthcare field.
This year, agreements with Hospital de Barcelona, the Health Consortium of Alt Penedès i Garraf, the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu and the Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili have been signed.

This year, four collaboration agreements have been signed with healthcare institutions, which allow to expand and consolidate the network of entities with which the University of Barcelona works to offer excellent teaching and research in the healthcare field.
In particular, there is an agreement with the Hospital de Barcelona that allows twenty students of bachelor’s degrees in Medicine and Nursing and the dual degree in Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics to carry out teaching activities in this centre. Respecting the patients’ privacy at all times, students can study, among other fields, radiology explorations; medicine related to the digestive system; in the intensive care unit and the coronary unit; outpatient surgery; general surgery; orthopaedics; vascular surgery; digestive and respiratory endoscopy; and hospital pharmacy.
An agreement has been signed with the Health Consortium of Alt Penedès i Garraf (CSAPG), which includes Hospital Comarcal Alt Penedès, Hospital Residència Sant Camil and Hospital Sant Antoni Abat — renowned health and training entities in the area. This agreement authorizes the Consortium as a partner healthcare institution of the University. Therefore, students of Medicine, Nursing, Hospital Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work will be able to carry out teaching activities at CSAPG. The agreement does not only show the willingness to collaborate in the teaching field but also the cross-sectional and broad view of health sciences training.
Other agreements — to be announced in a public ceremony — have been recently signed with Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu and Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili. The Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu includes SJD Hospital de Sant Boi, SJD Atenció Intermedia and SJD Xarxa de Salut Mental. Students of bachelor’s degrees and postgraduate studies in Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Social Work and Social Education will carry out teaching activities there. Moreover, the Parc includes the Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus, with modern facilities for simulation practices and clinical skills.
Finally, the Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili, a distinguished hospital in semi-intensive care, specialized in geriatrics, oncological and non-oncological palliative care, will be the place for students of Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Human Nutrition and Social Work to carry out their teaching activities. In addition, the Parc has primary care centres and rehabilitation centres.
