UB Editions has published the Sustainability Report for the 2021-2022 academic year, prepared by the Office for Internal Control, Risks and Social Responsibility of the University of Barcelona using information provided by most of the units and vice-rector’s offices of the University.

The Report follows the same model as in recent years. In this sense, it has once again been prepared following the complete adaptation of the consolidated set of standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for sustainability reports, carried out jointly by the social responsibility teams of the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University.

In addition to the information provided to fulfill the adaptation of the GRI standards, the Sustainability Report also includes the UB's contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the goals that have been achieved in the UB Agenda 2030, approved by the Governing Council in June 2020, which specifies the goals set by the UB with respect to the SDGs. At the end of the document are the indexes detailing all the UB impacts in these two documents.

The Report, approved by the Sustainable Development Commission, is divided into six main sections: one on the University of Barcelona and its governance; one on teaching and research; one on social commitment; one on environmental commitment; one on the economy; and one on the contents of the Report, which includes the indexes.

As a relevant novelty, this year a leaflet in paper format will be published to summarize the Report. This leaflet will also be published on the UB's social responsibility website so that it can be consulted electronically.
