On 25 April, the Faculty of Law will host a conference on sexual violence in Barcelona, during which the new update of the Self-help guide for victims of recent sexual assault: a path to recovery, produced by the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in collaboration with the University of Barcelona’s law clinic dret al Dret will be presented.

On 25 April, the Faculty of Law will host a conference on sexual violence in Barcelona, during which the new update of the Self-help guide for victims of recent sexual assault: a path to recovery, produced by the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in collaboration with the University of Barcelona’s law clinic dret al Dret will be presented.
This guide contains advice and explains various questions about health care for victims of sexual abuse, as well as the most common psychological reactions after suffering an aggression. Now, the new edition also includes a section to inform victims of their rights and explains the latest legislative changes in this area. These new contents have been prepared by the UB’s legal clinic dret al Dret.
The conference at the Faculty of Law includes several round tables with legal experts and health professionals. They will deal with aspects such as the legal concepts of abuse, aggression and consent in current legislation; the impact of sexual aggression on health and the care provided by the Hospital Clínic, and how complaints of sexual aggression and subsequent legal proceedings are handled. Named “Law and Health Meeting: sexual violence, we speak openly”, the session is organised by the Legal Clinic dret al Dret and the Commission on Gender Violence and Health of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Prior registration is required.
