The team from Institut Pedralbes has won the University of Barcelona’s High School Debate League, and the finalist was Escola Betània Patmos.

The competition received 24 participating teams, a total of 120 students from different schools, apart from one teacher per team, who captained the teams. The winning team will represent the UB at the High School Debate League of the Vives University Network from 17 to 19 April at the Jaume I University. The topic to debate on is: “Is artificial intelligence a threat to humanity?”.

This competition aims to improve the participants’ communicative skills, promote the acquisition of cross-sectional competencies through the use of words and create a training space in which Catalan is the vehicular language.
