The UB is the first university in the European Union to participate in a program financed by the Metropolitan Government of Seoul, through which officials of this Korean administration receive training in prestigious centers in several countries.

The UB is the first university in the European Union to participate in a program financed by the Metropolitan Government of Seoul, through which officials of this Korean administration receive training in prestigious centers in several countries.
This collaboration between the UB and the Metropolitan Government of Seoul was signed under the agreement on March 15. This will lead to specific agreements that will respond to specific training needs. Currently, the universities that participate in this program of the Metropolitan Government of Seoul are basically centers in the United States, the United Kingdom and China. Korean civil servants receive training mainly in political and economic subjects, in addition to participating in cultural activities.

Among the attendants at the meeting at the UB were the vice-rectorof Internationalization Policy, Raúl Ramos, on behalf of the University; the director of the Area of Internationalization and Students, Sergi Martínez; the head of the Complementary Training Area, Adriana Peña; the academic director of the Lifelong Learning Institute (IL3), Francisco Pérez, and the coordinator for relations with East Asia, Maria Àngels Pelegrín. On behalf of the Metropolitan Government of Seoul, the attendants were the head of the administrative office of the Government, Dong Ryul Lee, attended; the assistant manager, Jin Ah Eun, and the manager, Young Yune Jang.

Currently, the UB has agreements with Soongsil University and the Pohang University of Science and Technology, within the Global UB Mobility program. The Faculty of Economics and Business (specifically, with Keimyung University, Sungkyunkwan University and the University of Seoul) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (with Sejong University) also have agreements with Korean centers.
