On 11 May, the first edition of Clínic Obert will take place, a day during which the Medicine Campus will open its doors to the public to show the healthcare, teaching and research activities that are carried out. The aim of the session is to promote healthy habits and health prevention, while at the same time explaining the missions of the different institutions that form part of the Medicine Campus. The event will occupy more than 15,000 square metres in the street and there will be more than a hundred free activities.

On 11 May, the first edition of Clínic Obert will take place, a day during which the Medicine Campus will open its doors to the public to show the healthcare, teaching and research activities that are carried out. The aim of the session is to promote healthy habits and health prevention, while at the same time explaining the missions of the different institutions that form part of the Medicine Campus. The event will occupy more than 15,000 square metres in the street and there will be more than a hundred free activities.

The initiative is co-organised by the Hospital Clínic, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona, the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS), the Eixample Primary Health Care Consortium (CAPSBE) and the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). The activities will take place in different spaces: inside the Hospital Clínic, in the marquees outside, at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and at the Maternity and Plato hospital sites. 

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences organises the following actions: 


Visitors will also be able to see the exhibition “La medicina a l’exèrcit romà” (Medicine in the Roman Army), which is currently on display in the Hall of the Faculty.
