Presentation of 2024 Sant Jordi’s poster
The work selected to illustrate Sant Jordi’s Day 2024 at the University of Barcelona was presented today in the exhibition hall of the UB’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
This year’s poster has been commissioned to the artist Lola Lasurt, lecturer of painting at the Department of Visual Arts and Design, who has had solo exhibitions at the Miró Foundation, the Valencian Institute of Modern Art, and the Joan Prats and La Capella galleries in Barcelona.

This year’s poster has been commissioned to the artist Lola Lasurt, lecturer of painting at the Department of Visual Arts and Design, who has had solo exhibitions at the Miró Foundation, the Valencian Institute of Modern Art, and the Joan Prats and La Capella galleries in Barcelona.
The piece, in oil on canvas format, is inspired by a collection of kisses that appear in the filmography of Derek Jarman (1942 - 1994), a key representative of the English punk aesthetic. With an extensive knowledge of the perception of colour, just before his death he wanted to share it in the book Chroma (1994), which he wrote while he was losing his sight.
The presentation was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Eugeni Boldú; the Vice-Dean for Culture and Students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Ana Urroz, and the Vice-Rector for Heritage, Memory and Cultural Activities was represented by the Rector's Delegate for Language Policy and Publications, Joan Santanach.
The UB has designed a cultural programme with many activities. The starting point was the presentation of the Sant Jordi 2024 poster.
