Once again, the University of Barcelona is collaborating with Spanish Red Cross Youth and launches the 17th Toy Collection Campaign at the UB so that no kid is left without a toy this Christmas. The initiative follows last year’s formula: the physical collection of toys is replaced by a virtual campaign of economic donations, with which the Red Cross will buy new toys for families with limited resources. The contributions, which can be made until 6 January, should be submitted on this link.

Once again, the University of Barcelona is collaborating with Spanish Red Cross Youth and launches the 17th Toy Collection Campaign at the UB so that no kid is left without a toy this Christmas. The initiative follows last year’s formula: the physical collection of toys is replaced by a virtual campaign of economic donations, with which the Red Cross will buy new toys for families with limited resources. The contributions, which can be made until 6 January, should be submitted on this link.
The Educational Toy is this year’s toy campaign at Red Cross Youth so that all children receive a new, non-sexist, non-war-like and cooperative toy, following the features of the ideal educational toy.
This campaign’s success is achieved thanks to the team made up of more than 1,2000 volunteers at Red Cross Youth, who organize the toy collection, categorize the toys under age ranges and distribute them among the families helped by Red Cross.
The 17th Toy Collection Campaign at the UB is organized by the Vice-rector’s Office of Equal Opportunities and Gender, through the Safety, Health and Environment Office (OSSMA), and in collaboration with the UB Solidarity Foundation and Red Cross Youth.
