The Historic Building’s Paranymph will host, on 22 February 5.00 p.m., the welcome session for the international mobility students that will study this second semester at the UB. The main part of this event will consist on a talk with the Icelander singer-songwriter Halldór Már, known for the TV program Katalonski for the TV program he hosted at the Catalan television. The event will be presided over by the Rector, Joan Guàrdia, and will include the participation of the Vice-rector for Internationalization Policy, Raúl Ramos, and the Deputy for Networks and International Mobility, Bibiana Crespo.

The main part of this event will consist on a talk with the Icelander singer-songwriter Halldór Már, known for the TV program Katalonski for the TV program he hosted at the Catalan television. The event will be presided over by the Rector, Joan Guàrdia, and will include the participation of the Vice-rector for Internationalization Policy, Raúl Ramos, and the Deputy for Networks and International Mobility, Bibiana Crespo.

Halldór Már, who arrived in Catalonia as a student more than thirty years ago, will talk about his experience and will share some advice on how to address cultural differences, for instance. He will also elaborate on the first challenges one faces when adjusting to a new country.

During the academic year 2023-2024, the UB expects to receive more than 2,000 exchange students, who reflect the university’s commitment to the promotion of international mobility. The UB has mobility agreements with more than a thousand international universities, and it continues to support this educational cooperative strategy.  The faculties of the UB have also organized welcome sessions to provide the students with relevant information about their stay, enrolments, and other aspects related to the university life.​​
