12th VidaCaixa Seguros UB Award
The winner of the 12th VidaCaixa Seguros UB Award to the top masterʼs degree final project was Esteban Vargas Galarza, for his study Using Shiny as a tool for evaluation of health insurance pricing models, co-supervised by Eva Boj del Val and María Teresa Costa Cor, both lecturers at the Department of Economic, Financial and Actuarial Mathematics of the UB.
The ceremony took place on December 19, at the Faculty of Economics and Business. Laura Guitart Tarrés, academic vice-dean of the Faculty, opened the ceremony on behalf of Dean Ramon Alemany. Other participants were the director of People Excellence in VidaCaixa, Ramón Godínez Albadalejo, and the coordinator of the master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences, Manuela Bosch Príncep. Students and lecturers of the master and VidaCaixa attended the ceremony, as well as members of the award jury.
