12/12/17 - 13/12/17 | 15:03
Academical

“The life of stories. The filmed testimony” is included in the current aesthetic, philosophical and political debate revolving around the figure of the witnesses, and aims to get closer with audiovisual practices and arts. The seminar is presented as a meeting place and exchange site between international researchers from different fields -philosophy, arts, cinema, history, literature- and visual artists, filmmakers, and actors from the cultural world. It also includes the guided tour of the exhibition "Susan Meiselas. Mediacions" in Antoni Tàpies Foudnation, and two late night showings at Filmoteca de Catalunya, in which three films will be screened, with the attendance of the filmmakers Manuela Morgaine and Yael Perlov. During these two sessions, a series of fundamental issues will be touched on to think on the production and spreading of the audiovisual stories of witnesses -life of stories- and how these are caught with the camera of the testimonial story: the filmed testimony.
