Round-table talk and exhibition: “El genocidi armeni: reflexions des del centenari (1915-2015)”

The speakers who participate in the round-table talk are: David Bondia, professor of International Law at the UB; Armen Gabriel Sirouyan, spokesman on the Armenian genocide centennial; Sarkis Habobyan, representative of the Armenian association in Catalonia Ararat, and the photographer Andreu Fernández. The discussion will be presented and moderated by Dr Carme Panchon, vice-rector for Administration and Organization of the UB.

Moreover, in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Armenian genocide, the Santa Coloma de Gramenet City Council and the Barcelona Provincial Council organise an exhibition that includes photographs by Andreu Fernández and historical descriptions by David Devesa. The European Observatory on Memories of the UB Solidarity Foundation moves the exhibitioin to the Faculty of Geography and History to make it more visible and increase citizens' knowledge of one of the most terrible episodes of the 20th century.
