Final session of the 8th Contest Crystalisation at the School
The eighth edition of the Contest of Crystallization at the School reaches its final phase. The contest, aimed at lecturers and students from second year in secondary school (ESO) and upper secondary school to promote scientific vocations with attractive experiments of crystallization, will award the best projects and presentations on the field of crystal.
In this year's call, about 1,900 students from Catalonia have taken part. During the final phase, the students will show their works -carried out with scientific methodology- using posters and presenting their explanations to a jury.
This contest aims to promote the study, systematic work, scientific thinking and communication among young students using crystallization experiments.
Collaborators in the contest are the museum Agbar de les Aigües, the Institute of Professional Development of the UB (IDP-ICE), the Educational Service Gironès, University of Lleida and the Specialized Group on Crystallography and Crystal Growth (GE3C).
