Open registration for the 2nd Conference series on Gender, Health and Equality
This conference series is mainly aimed at students of the bachelor degrees in Nursing, Medicine, Oncology and Podiatry, and students from other bachelor, master or PhD studies. The objective is to analyze, and reflect on several aspects that influence identity building in women and their lives, such as inequalities at work or their representation in the media, as well as gender violence, to contribute to make these phenomena visible from the perspective of some of these people, such as detection guidelines and attitudes of health professionals.
The series will start on November 22 in the Bellvitge Campus with the award ceremony to the best bachelor's degree final project on Gender in 2018. Afterwards, Aharon Fernández Cuadro, from Associació d'Homes Igualitaris de Catalunya, will give the first conference, titled "Noves masculinitats i prevenció de la violència de gènere".
The conference series is free and accounts for 1.5 ECTS credits. Registration will be available from November 5 to 16.
