Exhibition: “150 years since the birth of Josep Maria Fuset i Tubià”
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the scientist Josep Maria Fuset i Tubià (1871-1952), biologist, professor at the UB and pioneer in the teaching of science for image, the Biology CRAI Library and the Resource Center of Animal Biodiversity (CRBA) have launched exhibitions in a physical and virtual format to pay tribute to him.
On the one hand, the main room of CRBA holds an exhibition on the professor's figure and his scientific works. On the other, there will be two online exhibitions: one by CRBA and another by the Biology CRAI Library. Fuset i Tubià was a pioneer in ornithology and the author of the first catalogue of birds in the country, the study Aves de Cataluña (1912). He outstood in several scientific disciplines such as anatomy, zoological morphology, microscopy, oceanography and scientific drawing, as well as in the field of scientific dissemination.
