Visual Trust is a multidisciplinary, comparative and innovative project, funded by the European Research Council, aimed at developing a general theory of (mis)trust in images in the contemporary world. The aim is to develop experimental online and offline research on how visual trust is created, communicated and evaluated.
Experts from various international universities will attend this first edition of the conference.
There will be five sessions: «What does it mean to make an image?», «Miracle, visual creativity, and the making of sacred images», «Photography without light: Hyperrealism, evidence, and the visual fake», «Data Visualization, Knowledge and Scientific Aesthetics» and «Art, AI and visions of conspiracy».
