The Dr Victòria Girona, who obtained 39.16 % of the weighted vote, and the Dr Dídac Ramírez, who got 31.75 % of the weighted vote, are the two candidates who will contest the UBʼs Rector Office in the second round that will take place on 27th November. The two other candidates, Dr Josep Antoni Bombí and Dr Joaquim Gutiérrez obtained 15.82 % and 13.27 % of the weighted vote respectively.

On the Election Day celebrated yesterday, 22nd November, any of the four candidates for the UBʼs Rector Office got the overall majority necessary to be elected rector in this first round: Dr Girona got 39.43 % of the vote; Dr Ramírez 24.90 %; Dr Bombí 19.31 %; and Dr Gutiérrez 16.37 %. In the second round, the candidate who gets the highest number of votes will be elected as rector.

In the second round, the candidate who gets the highest number of votes will be elected as rector.

In this first round of the elections, which happened without incident, 64,577 people from the different university groups were able to vote. Finally, 9,647 people cast their votes, what represents 14.94 % of the total. 8,877 votes were for the candidates, 415 were blank and 355 spoiled.
