The objective is to discuss recent research on transport economics, both from empirical and theoretical perspectives. Experts from Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy, France, Holland, Switzerland, Turkey and Spain participate in the meeting. Some of the issues to be discussed are urban planning, the use of infrastructures, international airport competence and the liberalisation and investment in rail passenger services.

The programme also includes some speeches on the evolution of heavy vehicle volume in toll roads or the effects that liberalisation has on rail passenger services, particularly considering rail full liberalisation in 2019. Research on air transport will be examined from different perspectives and the competence between European airports (London, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam and Madrid) and the airports of Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Doha will be analysed.
