A catalogue associates the abilities of CITA-UB research groups with the stages of business development
The Centre for Innovation and Advanced Technologies of the University of Barcelona (CITA-UB), a project promoted by the UB and the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation, has published on its website a catalogue which collects for each area of expertise (Food; Sustainable development; Industrial processes; Information, communication and knowledge technologies; and Health and quality of life) the technological services offered by its research groups and associate them with the stages of business development.
The companies which compose CITA-UB External Advisory Committee participated in the development of these catalogues. To be exact, they described the different industrial stages that take part in the development of any technology, and adapted technological language to a more informal register. Collaborating companies are: Danone in the area of Food; Esteve in the area of Health and quality of life; FAE in the area of Information, communication and knowledge technologies; Ficosa in the area of Industrial processes, and Sirusa in the area of Sustainable development. The result is the publication of five catalogues that, on the one hand, join together the abilities and services of CITA-UB research groups (all members of TECNIO, Government of Catalonia) and enable to establish synergies among them, and on the other hand, adapt the services provided by the centre to clientʼs needs. To elaborate these catalogues, it has been necessary to identify new technological market entries and to define new research lines that satisfy current demands.
