With Rosetta Stone UB members can study up to twenty-three different languages.

To be exact, with the software those interested can achieve A1 and A2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in American English, British English, German, French, Italian, Arabic, Korean, Greek, Filipino (Tagalog), Hebrew, Hindi, Irish, Japanese, Latin, Dutch, Persian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Vietnamese and Chinese. Regarding English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Chinese; CEFR B1 level is also offered, which is one of the objectives of the University of Barcelona Plan for Languages.

Rosetta Stone was free offered for a year (from March 2011 to March 2012). During this period, over 1,500 students and almost 200 members of the administrative and service staff (PAS) and the teaching and research staff (PDI) had the chance to learn one, or more languages, out of the 23 offered by the software. Economic crisis did not allow to offer it free again, but advantageous prices were agreed for UB members, so course offerings were the same for the next period (from April 2012 to April 2013). During this time almost 900 licences have been purchased.

Now, we set up a new period (from May 2013 to May 2014) and we offer a new type, Rosetta Stone TOTALe, which increases the number of online learning activities available. We hope to satisfy everyoneʼs needs.

Enrolment period finishes on 28th April. For further information, please visit the website Multilingüitzaʼt.
