The Virtual Museum of the University of Barcelona (MVUB) incorporates the virtual exhibition “Paisatges immanents”, by the artist and professor from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UB Domènec Corbella. The collection, made up of fourteen works, talks about the immanence in order to observe and analyse the characteristics of the pictorial work. It was opened by the rector of the UB, Dr Dídac Ramírez, and the vice-rector for Arts, Culture and Heritage, Lourdes Cirlot, and it could be visited on 27th and 28th September in the corridor of the Paranymph Hall at the Historic Building. The virtual format was supported by the artist, who provided the information and the graphic material shown.

This virtual exhibition extends a MVUBʼs collection which was opened in April 2011 with “Dona, música i art”, an exhibition that travelled around the work of the English artist Christine Wilson. The goal of the collection is to enable a virtual visit to the work of some artists who keep a relationship with the University or who have awoken an interest in the cultural projects organised by the Office of the Vice-Rector for Arts, Culture and Heritage of the University of Barcelona.
Domènec Corbella (Vallfogona de Riucorb, 1946) has been professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts since 1975; he participates in several research projects on the field of landscapes and the spirituality of painting. Moreover, he has published several essays about the methodology and the aesthetic search of contemporary painting, recently collected by the UB under the title Des del cor de la pintura. His artistic work has been exhibited in a great number of individual exhibitions, especially in Catalonia and Italy, but also in other Spanish towns and in Andorra.
