The 13th Political Philosophy Meetings cover questions around the practice of power: should we talk about a transformation or rather a shift? In the case of a power shift, with what measures could have this happened where would it head to? To what extent does politics push us to different power situations and how can these transform social interaction or push toward new ways of subjection?

Regarding a shift in critics, the meetings question about the statute of philosophical critics nowadays and on the traditions it is constructed, where it can go, at whom it can be aimed and with what consequences, among other questions.

Martha Palacio, coordinator of the meetings, says that “thinking about critics now means opening towards the plurality of their theoretical forms, some of which have accompanied the experience of some social movements such as feminism, ecologist or anti-globalization movements, but it also means having to consider how new experiences weaken the premises of old critical forms as well as the places where they occur”.
