The exhibition “Campus vivo. Doing research at the University” was opened on November 15 in the National Museum of Science and Technology of la Coruña (MUNCYT). The exhibition is coordinated by Alessandra Pecci, researcher from the Department of History and Archaeology of the UB, and it offers a journey through the production and consumption of wine in the western Mediterranean area from prehistory to the middle ages. Apart from Pecci, another attendant was the vice-rector for Doctoral Studies and Research Promotion, Xavier Roigé. This research combines the traditional archaeological studies with new chemical analytical techniques of residues wine leaves in archaeological evidence. The exhibition “Campus vivo” will last about a year and, apart from the UB proposal, will include seven more projects by the universities of Malaga, Cordova, the Technical University of Valencia, Extremadura, Alacala, UNED and Deusto.

"Campus vivo" is an initiative by CRUE Spanish Universities, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and MUNCYT, which aims to bring contemporary society closer to the research that is carried out in all knowledge areas in the Spanish universities, so as to contribute to the territorial and social development and improve citizensʼ quality of life.
