“When media speak about well-being, they generally refer to material well-being, in other words, to economic and technological development. This is an important type of well-being, but it is not enough to achieve happiness”, affirms Bisquerra. The expert explains that there are other types of well-being that remain quite unknown and constitute the basis of global well-being: physical, social, professional and emotional wellbeing. Therefore, “media should provide citizens with the knowledge offered by the science of well-being and contribute to build organizations directed towards global well-being, not only material one”.
