The University of Ljubljana joins the IRUN university network
The University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) has joined the International Research Universities Network (IRUN) during the Annual Rectors' Meeting, held this year at the University of Barcelona. The meeting, which focused primarily on policies and actions for academic excellence, was divided into sessions in the UB's Historic Building and in the Faculty of Chemistry, on 13-14 May.

The meeting, which focused primarily on policies and actions for academic excellence, was divided into sessions in the UB's Historic Building and in the Faculty of Chemistry, on 13-14 May.
Representatives attending the meeting reviewed the programme of activities for 2010-2011 and devoted a specific session to programmes of excellence at bachelorʼs degree, master's and doctoral level. Following the incorporation of the University of Ljubljana, IRUN now comprises ten member universities: the University of Barcelona, the University of Ljubljana, Jagiellonian University, Peter Pazmany Catholic University, Radboud University Nijmegen, the University of Duisberg-Essen, the University of Glasgow, the University of Münster, the University of Poitiers and the University of Siena.
