The University of Barcelona has begun to apply the style guide that regulates the application of its new trademark

On 8 October, the Governing Council of the University of Barcelona approved the new graphic standards style guide of the University. Previously, on 25 June, the publicist Lluís Bassat presented a proposal for a new Universityʼs trademark to members of the Governing Council and, at the end of July, the Rector Dídac Ramírez confirmed that the University changed its logo with the aim of restoring the coat of arms of the University; it is an updated version that includes the flag of the city of Barcelona, in order to strengthen the relationship that the University holds with the city, and the text ʻʻLibertas Perfundet Omnia Luceʼ (Freedom pours light around), motto of the University of Barcelona since 1934.

The new document regulates the application of the new trademark in every communication action of the University, from stationery to communication media.

At present, the first implementation phase of the new trademark has been completed in the digital environment of the University of Barcelona. The new logo has been included in its website and social networks. Twitter and Instagram accounts of the University of Barcelona have also adapted their name to the new trademark. From now, the username of the University of Barcelona is @UniBarcelona.
