Very prestigious rankings

The Best Global Universities is a ranking developed by the consultancy US News & World Report, a firm that has wide experience in elaborating rankings of US universities. In 2014, it first published a ranking that evaluated universities abroad. The BGU is about to become one of the most important international rankings, together with ARWU (Shanghai), QS-WUR and THE.

The NTU Ranking is released by the National Taiwan University, and it is also known as Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities. The name of the ranking system was also changed from HEEACT —the acronym of the educational council that elaborates it— to its popular name “Taiwan Ranking”. It is one of the first international rankings that used indicators to assess a universityʼs overall scientific paper performance: research productivity, research impact and research excellence.
