The UB participates in the APAIE exhibition in Hong Kong
The University of Barcelona participated in the exhibition arranged by the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), hosted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 11th to 14th March. The event gathered more than one thousand university representatives from all over the world. The UB was at the Catalan university system stand, oraganised by the Inter-University Council of Catalonia (CIC).

The event gathered more than one thousand university representatives from all over the world. The UB was at the Catalan university system stand, oraganised by the Inter-University Council of Catalonia (CIC).
UBʼs participation enabled to contact with Asian, Australian and American universities, in order to increase the number of exchange programmes, improve academic relations, and establish new collaborative projects, such as summer courses. Besides participating in the exhibition, Catalan universities representatives visited local universities and met administration staff who work in the field of further education.
The mission of APAIE is to achieve greater cooperation amongst those responsible for international education and internationalization in Asia- Pacific institutions and to promote the quality of international programs, activities, and exchanges for the harmony and the advancement of the Asia-Pacific region.
Besides the UB, other organizations which were at the "Study in Calonia" stand were: the Government of Catalonia, the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), the University of Girona (UdG) and the University of Lleida (UdL).
