The Independent Commission for Mediation, Dialogue and Conciliation, formed by representatives of unions, management, universities and professional schools, is organizing on Monday, October 23, the meeting “Trobem lʼentesa a través del diàleg”, which aims to call for dialogue and get a way out of the political situation in Catalonia, finding ways for dialogue and exit extreme positions. The event will take place at the Paranimph of the Historical Building of the University of Barcelona at 12 noon.

The Independent Commission for Mediation, Dialogue and Conciliation, formed by representatives of unions, management, universities and professional schools, is organizing on Monday, October 23, the meeting “Trobem lʼentesa a través del diàleg”, which aims to call for dialogue and get a way out of the political situation in Catalonia, finding ways for dialogue and exit extreme positions. The event will take place at the Paranimph of the Historical Building of the University of Barcelona at 12 noon.

The opening will be given by the rector of the University of Barcelona, Joan Elias, and the dean of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB), M. Eugènia Gay. Afterwards, the following speakers will come in: Esther Esther Giménez-Salinas, emeritus professor of Penal Law and Criminology at Ramon Llull University; Federico Mayor Zaragoza, president of Fundació Cultura de Pau, former general director of UNESCO and co-president of The Institute of Human Rights, Democracy and Culture of Peace and Non-Violence (DEMOSPAZ); Francesc Xavier Moreno, lecturer at UAB and expert on mediation, and Milagros Pérez Oliva, journalist in El País. The event will be chaired by Argèlia Queralt, lecturer of Constitutional Law at the UB, who will also present the conclusions.
