Erasmus Student Network discusses Erasmus + in Barcelona
From 14 to 16 February, the Paranymph Hall of the University of Barcelona (UB) hosts the congress of the Spanish National Board of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), an association composed by around 12,000 students from 36 countries. The main objective of the institution is to provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development for those students who participate in the mobility programme Erasmus.
From 14 to 16 February, the Paranymph Hall of the University of Barcelona (UB) hosts the congress of the Spanish National Board of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), an association composed by around 12,000 students from 36 countries. The main objective of the institution is to provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development for those students who participate in the mobility programme Erasmus.
The personalities who participate in the opening of the meeting, which analyses the new programme Erasmus +, are: Lluís Jofre, general director for Universities of the Government of Catalonia; Gerard Ardanuy, Barcelona councillor for Education and Universities; Mar Duque, director of the Organismo Autónomo de Programas Educativos Europeos of the Spanish Ministry for Education, Culture and Sports; Maria Callejón, vice-rector for International Relations of UB; Isabel Martínez, commissioner for University, Youth Affairs and Special Plans of ONCE Foundation; and Montserrat Rodríguez and Jorge Martín, presidents of ESN UB Barcelona and ESN Spain, respectively. Besides analysing different questions about the programme Erasmus +, the meeting includes several activities and the assembly of ESN Spain.The activity is supported by the office of the Vice-rector for Students and Language Policy.
