1,553 votes cast by the followers of UBʼs official Facebook selected the award-winning photographs of the second contest Enfoca UB, organized by the University of Barcelona.

For her work Camins, Laura Gassol, student at the School of Modern Languages, has won the first award of the contest: a compact camera with interchangeable lens Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5. The photo, a blank and white one, shows one of most characteristic places of the Historic Building of the UB: the corridor of the Paranymph Hall.

The second and third awards (an annual subscription to the newspaper El País, an adventure gift package for two people and pack of UB merchandising products) have been conferred on Eduardo Santos, student at the Faculty of Fine Arts, for his photograph Laberint de lʼaprenentatge, and on Albert Garcia, student at the Faculty of Law for his work Conversa de nit.

The juryʼs special award has been given to Antonio de Almeida, student at the Faculty of Fine Arts, who will enjoy a language course at the School of Modern Languages. Javier Cortés Diaz has won the pack of UB merchandising products, which was raffled among all voters.

In this second contest Enfoca UB 81 photographs were presented. All of them show a personal view of the University: activities performed, artistic or architectural details, university life images, etc. The implication and participation of the different University groups have been positive: students have been the most represented group, 69 % of participants, followed by former students (9,5 % of contestants).

Panasonic, El País and the School of Modern Languages of the UB also collaborate In Enfoca UB contest.
