The debate will be moderated by Marta Lasalas, a prestigious journalist and lecturer of the degree in Communication and the Culture History at the Faculty of Philology.

The debate will be divided into five blocks: government, organization and social influence; people (the different groups which make up the UB); teaching, research and knowledge transfer; economic situation; and future perspective. After that, a round of questions will be opened and the audience will be able to pose questions.

For two hours, and following a speech agreed order, the candidates will be able to defend their government bills and to give their opinions about the present and future situation of the UB.

This will be the last debate among the four candidates planned for the election campaign, which will end on 22nd November when the elections will happen. It will be the third time that, according to the current regulations, the new rector will be elected by the university community through direct election and universal suffrage. If we sum the teaching staff, the students, and the administrative and service staff, the people who can vote are more than 60,000. If any of the candidacies do not get an overall majority on 22nd November, a second round will be done on 27th November and the candidate who gets more votes will be elected as rector.
