The director of the Committee, Norbert Bilbeny, professor of Ethics, says they “start with the will to work effectively, at the service of the UB” and that their first task will be the creation of a code of scientific integrity for the university community.
Norbert Bilbeny notes that such a code is pioneer in the Catalan universities, and it is an experience that can be used as a reference. He also states it will not be “a kind of declaration of aims, but it has to remind us about the criteria of good work”. First, a working group will be created to work on a draft for a code of ethics, which will be submitted to the Committee and the final paper will be handed in to the rector of the UB.
