Objectives and competences

This specialization enhances the pedagogical knowledge, didactic skills, technical skills and skills necessary to prepare the nurse for the design and development of quality educational and care interventions in the school, and to train them in the performance of the various functions that can be carried out in this area.
This training equips participants with the skills they need to become agents of innovation and pedagogical engagement in school health.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

- To acquire and update the fundamental theoretical aspects and methodological tools so as to be able to design and develop training and care actions at the school in a competent manner.
- To describe and analyse the key elements that make up educational practice and develop a more detailed understanding of health education in schools.
- To study the conceptual basis of the aspects involved in designing and developing a teaching and learning process during all life cycle stages.
- To identify and to analyse different teaching modalities and strategies and their possible implementation in schools.
- To design and carry out health prevention and promotion actions in schools and in community settings, making use of ICTs.
- To design and implement controls and exams for the early detection of diseases and health issues.
- To establish protocols of action for risk situations in childhood and adolescence.
- To identify the actions required to respond to accidents and emergencies in schools.
- To know the different methods and techniques of qualitative and quantitative research.
- To design research and intervention projects for health education in schools.
