In line with the new mental health plans and the latest European legislative projects, the postgraduate programme in Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents in Clinical and Educational Areas addresses the needs of children from a holistic and integrative perspective, considering the various environments and systems where development takes place: family, school, society, culture, economy, etc.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

- To train for psychotherapeutic and psychopedagogical care of children, adolescents and their families, building from a detailed knowledge of psychic development and psychopathology.
- To master the necessary tools for the elaboration of a diagnosis and the establishment of a therapeutic orientation or a psychopedagogical intervention.
- To acquire professional competence in the fields of psychotherapy and child and adolescent psychopedagogy under the guidance of various psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors and educational psychologists with extensive experience in psychotherapy, psychopedagogy and the protection of childhood.

- Graduates in psychology, medicine, educational psychology, teacher training, nursing and other areas of health and education.
- Health professionals.
- Professionals in the field of education and teaching.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
