Objectives and competences

Objectives

- To gain first-hand knowledge of the professional services that digital lawyers, consultants and other professionals in the sector offer as a service.
- To evaluate the link between ethics and current regulatory compliance frameworks, and proposals for regulatory developments in the regulation of artificial intelligence.
- To gain an understanding of the scope and obligations arising from the legal framework governing the law and its relationship with artificial intelligence that may impact organizations and business processes that make intensive use of these technologies.
- To undertake advanced preparation on the new regulatory frameworks in which the lawyer or legal advisor must be able to defend digital and economic rights and respond to the new challenges of these business models.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the concepts of artificial intelligence and how it is applied in the legal field, while addressing the ethical, regulatory and practical challenges associated with the implementation of AI in the legal field.

- Professionals in the legal field (graduates in law, lawyers, legal advisers or legal consultants), working in areas of digital law and the information society.
- Professionals who deal with aspects related to digital law and the information society in their day-to-day work.
- Technology professionals, software developers and other professionals interested in the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents in the legal field.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
